Principles of Financial Accounting I students should be enrolled in one lecture, one discussion group, and one lab section. Students should attend lecture once per week, discussion groups twice per week, and should attend lab once per week. Click here for a comparision of these three types of classes and answers to FAQs. Some class times and rooms may have changed for fall 2011.

Students who are unable to attend their scheduled section may, occasionally, attend the other section to see the material being presented. Student attending In these situations should sit near the back of the room, and they should record their attendance on a separate piece of paper indicated their name, the date, and their approximate row and seat number in their regular section. In this way they can be given credit for attending that day.
NOTE: The final exam for the course is given according to the lecture times.
All discussion groups meet in GC 3A05. Students who are unable to attend their regular section may make up their attendance by attending an "equivalent" session. Generally, Tuesday and Wednesday sessions are equivalent; and Thursday and Friday sessions are equivalent.

All labs meet in GC 3A05. Students are expected to attend one lab per week minimum but may attend as many other labs as they would like. Students are encouraged to attend the lab session in which they are enrolled, but they will be counted present if they attend any other lab in the same week, sit on rows 1-3, stay they entire time, work on accounting material, stay the whole hour, and sign the attendance sheet.
